On 15 May 2020, Jaden Hayden, 20, Savagely Beat 75-Year-Old Norman Bledsoe At The Westwood Nursing Center In Detroit. Bledsoe, According To Family Members, Fell Into A Severe State Of Depression After The Incident And Died Yesterday

Norman Bledsoe, 75, was dealing with depression ever since he was attacked by Jaden Hayden back in May. According to family members, he wasn’t eating properly, had lost a considerable amount of weight, and his death was announced by the family yesterday. Bledsoe suffered broken ribs, fingers, and a jaw after the attack was over.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, Bledsoe’s family was unable to visit him until just a week ago. When they were finally able to see him, they reported that he was not doing well. Soon after, Bledsoe passed away.

Hayden, 20, was a resident at the nursing home, and according to administrators he was there temporarily for recovery and rehabilitation, but it was later revealed by his father that his admission to a facility, that primarily serves as place for elder care, was related to testing positive for COVID-19. Adding more fury to an already unacceptable chain of events, Hayden had warrants out for his arrest related to another violent assault and officers, after reviewing evidence related to the beating, found videos of Hayden involved in even more assaults.

He has been charged with two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, theft, and two counts of credit card theft all stemming from the beating incident.

Norman Bledsoe was a veteran of the United States Army. He served his country. He deserved better. He should never have been placed in a room with a 20-year-old monster with a history of mental illness and violence.

The victim’s family intends to sue the nursing home.

Bledsoe’s nephew confirmed the death on Monday.
