As journalists move away from character assassinations and towards the more literal variety, it’s important to keep in mind that many of these folks have already drawn their battle lines.
Take Kyle Clark, a reporter with 9News, who antifa members describe as one of their own. A Pinkerton bodyguard employed by his network shot and killed a Trump supporter just last night. More to the point, the bodyguard was, himself, an avid supporter of antifa and related movements.

Clark himself is a follower of the local Antifa chapter.
When one Twitter user suggested that Kyle head down to the riots without the benefit of his contracted security team, a Antifa-supporter had this to say: “Kyle would be 100% safe. Because we protect us and Kyle is one of us.”
Last night, a contracted member of the 9News security team, Matthew Dolloff, was arrested for the murder of a veteran who supported Donald Trump. The victim’s name was Lee Keltner who has been spending his post-military service making handmade hats (video below).
Despite what has been reported, Dolloff was also a supporter of anarchist movements in the country:

He had a very extensive past of Activism and speaking out against corporations and the police.
He’s been heavily involved in #Occupy which later pushed members to ANTIFA. pic.twitter.com/G9eT1kZ1jl
Pulled from his Twitter following, he is a far-leftist with public ties to Occupy as well as… ding ding ding— ANTIFA!

He also has a Space Invaders tattoo, a common logo used among ANTIFA.
