Pentagon Orders Military Police On Standby To Respond To Riots In Minneapolis

The Defense Department has ordered Military Police units to be ready to deploy within four hours to Minneapolis to quell the riots.

The Pentagon has ordered the Army to prepare to deploy active duty military police units in Minneapolis should the situation call for it. Soldiers from Fort Bragg in North Carolina and Fort Drum in New York have been ordered to be at the ready to move out within four hours, reports the Associated Press.

Cities across the United States have erupted into violent riots. Last night, seven were shot in the city of Louisville, Kentucky. This evening, one was killed during a live broadcast in Detroit. The situation continues to escalate, with rioters outside the White House and in nearly every major city of the United States.
